When using Frameline 47, an indexing agent scans drives for video files, extracts their embedded descriptions & populates a fast SQL database.

Because the files themselves hold all the information you have added, nothing gets lost or disconnected, even when swapping files between systems. When moving to a new system, for example, all you need to do is move the files, and launch the application, everything else is automatic.
